A mixing console, one strip per musician, and everything you need around it to rehearse: the song, the tempo, the take, the video, the documents.
Send gain, pan, mute, solo, arming, peak meter and each musician's latency on their strip. Your strip also carries what leaves your place: the captured input, the level the others receive, the effect. Everything is kept from one session to the next.
One camera per musician in high definition, to see the hands and the cues. One musician large and the others as thumbnails, or everyone equal. Can be turned off if your connection is limited.
For what doesn't need to be said out loud: a link, an instruction, a key change. The history stays in the studio.
Load an audio file (WAV, MP3, FLAC, AIFF…): the waveform shows for everyone. Play, pause, loop and position are shared: the whole band moves through the song together.
Load a song, Jamodio splits it into stems: vocals, drums, bass, the rest. You cut the part you play and the band rehearses over what is missing, at one tempo, in one key. In development.
One tempo, the whole band on it. The metronome is locked to the server clock: nobody drifts, whatever the network. Everyone sets their own level in their headphones.
Record the mix, or each armed musician on their own track — the backing track and the metronome too — to download afterwards from the Library. The talkback is never recorded.
Audio Units on macOS, VST3 on Windows: the plugins already installed on your machine slot into your strip (amp, reverb, compressor, virtual piano). Native window, one-click bypass, settings kept.
Plug in a USB MIDI keyboard, or play the virtual keyboard built into the app. The instrument plugin makes the sound, the others hear it like a plugged-in instrument.
Scores, tabs, chord charts, setlists, backing tracks, takes, images. Preview, listen, share with the band, or present a document next to the cameras.

Your mic picks up your voice, but also the amp, the drums, the room. The filter runs on your machine, not on a server: the others hear your voice clean, and nothing at all when you're not talking.
You see who's talking, and set each person's level independently. Someone too quiet goes up; someone too loud goes down. Without touching the music.
A light tells you when your voice is going through. A button cuts it to talk privately at home; the others see it on your strip. Same vocabulary for your instrument.
Jamodio never shows a number without saying where it comes from. Hover over a strip's number: the bubble breaks everything down, and says what to do when things degrade.

Latencies announced by the drivers, unverified: real hardware may add much more. They are not counted in the figure.
Network, anti-dropout buffer, encoding, audio blocks: each part with its source. The number is a measured minimum (“at least N ms”), with its equivalent in metres, like on a stage.
“Stable link”, “Irregular network”, “Your computer is overloaded”: a shape, a word, and the number that proves it. Readable with colour-blindness.
When things degrade, the bubble says whose side it is on, and what would help: an Ethernet cable, closing an app, a lighter plugin. It never says whether it's “playable”: that's for your ears.
The latencies that sound card drivers declare without measuring them are shown separately. They are not in the number, but you know they exist.
A directory of musicians, free, open once your profile is complete, to find people to play with. A profile, an avatar, a map, messaging.
Compose an avatar: hair, skin, glasses, headwear, outfit, expression, background. Billions of combinations. Or simply use your photo.

No subscription: the community and public jam sessions are open to every account, Free included. You enter, set your strip, play. Until the public opening in November 2026, an account is obtained by invitation from a musician; otherwise, join the waitlist.
Servers are in France today. A server opens in a region on simple request from the musicians who live there: the ambition is Europe, then further.
A live lesson, with the sound of an instrument, not the sound of a video call. What exists today, with no promise about the rest.
Unlimited persistent studios, one per student, with its documents and settings. Two musicians per session: the teacher and the student. The student pays nothing.
Drop the score or the tab in the studio Library, present it next to the cameras: you look at the same thing, at the same time.

Jamodio runs in the browser, with the Audio Engine, a native app that talks directly to your sound card. Without it, no studio: it's what makes the latency.
Mac M1 and later. CoreAudio, 48 kHz, straight to your sound card. Intel Macs are not supported.
ASIO driver required, 48 kHz. WASAPI is not accepted: its latency is avoidable, the app tells you and helps you switch to ASIO.
An app installed once on your computer. It talks directly to your sound card, without going through the browser: that's what makes latency low enough to play together.
Chrome and Edge are officially supported. Safari and Firefox show a warning, without blocking.
An email (support@jamodio.com), a human reply, and a bug report sent from the app with the Audio Engine logs attached. During the beta, we come to you: we tell you about updates and ask what's missing.
Only the studio host subscribes. Invited musicians play for free, with no time limit, as long as the host is on a paid plan. Up to ten musicians per studio with the Band plan.
The private beta is full. Jamodio opens its doors to the public in November 2026: join the waitlist to hear about it first.
